The yellow pumpkin belongs to the Cucurbitaceae family. The plant is an annual angiosperm and dikotyledon vine. Its fruit is almost spherical with a smooth outer surface, which is orange on the outside and has a yellow flesh on the inside. Yellow pumpkin is traditionally used in many local recipes.
