Interview with Mr. Lymperopoulos Sotiris, explorer and wild food forager

“Euripides refers to Messinia as the ‘bearer of good crops,’ because of its fertile land. It is a blessed land that has been offering its inhabitants a great variety of wild edible greens, herbs, nuts, fresh fruits and vegetables for many centuries. Balsam for pain, fragrant oregano, and mountain tea are only a few of those small wonders of the Messinian nature, free of chemical or any other processing, with their natural fragrance and wondrous qualities. In Verga, Kalamata, we met Mr. Sotiris Lymperopoulos, who declared himself a forager, or, better still, an explorer and wild food forager.”
