SKALTSOUNIA’ (CRESCENT-SHAPED PASTRIES) MANI-STYLE

Instructions:

Combine the ingredients, adding 4 tbsp honey or fig jam. Roll out a sheet of thin dough and use a cup to cut out round dough pieces. Add some filling to each and close it in a half-moon shape. Press the edges with a fork to seal well and bake at 180 °C for 20 minutes. Remove from the oven, leave to cool and sprinkle with rose water and powdered sugar.

Ingredients for the dough:


  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • some lukewarm water

Ingredients for the filling:


  • 1 sachet sesame seeds, roasted
  • 300 g walnuts, coarsely chopped
  • raisins (black and golden)
