SICKLE

The sickle is a sharp farming tool used for the harvesting of cereals and in rice cultivation. From Neolithic times to the early 20th century reaping was done with the use of a sickle. In prehistoric times it was made of wood or bone and had teeth made of flint or obsidian, while the traditional sickle has a metal blade and a wooden shaft.
