Heat the milk, sugar, butter and vanilla in a wide pan. Slowly add the flour and stir continuously to avoid lumps forming in the mixture; it is important not to skip this step. Once the mixture is creamy, remove from heat and allow it to cool a little. Beat the eggs (whites and yolks) and stir them into the mixture until fully combined. Pour the mixture evenly on a greased pan and bake in a preheated oven at 220ο C for an hour, setting the oven to cook on the bottom element.
