CHICKEN WITH WHITE WINE SAUCE, OLIVES AND MUSHROOMS

Instructions

Sauté the garlic cloves with a little olive oil. Then add the olives and mushrooms. Sauté the ingredients for a few minutes and add the chicken cut into portions. Add the salt, pepper and oregano and sauté until golden brown. Reduce heat, add the wine and cook until it evaporates.  Finally, add the water and boil for about half an hour.


Nutritional value:

The chicken meat is an important source of high biological value protein, iron, phosphorus and magnesium and contains vitamins. It is also recommended to replace red meat by chicken meat. According to the Mediterranean Diet Pyramid, up to 4 servings of chicken can be consumed per week. The olives are rich in monounsaturated fatty acids (oleic acid), vitamin E, calcium, potassium, phosphorus, iron, magnesium, and antioxidants. Mushrooms contain antioxidants, fiber, iron, zinc and vitamins.
