In a bowl combine all ingredients thoroughly. Pour batter in a greased baking dish (size no. 30) and place in a preheated oven. Bake at 200oC for one hour. If cheese is too salty, leave in water overnight.
Batter pie from Mani is high in complex carbohydrates, fiber, a number of vitamins, such as B-complex vitamins, and trace elements, such as manganese. Feta cheese constitutes an important source of animal protein and predominantly provides calcium, phosphorus, fat (mainly saturated), and vitamins (A, D, B-complex).
This recipe has been created by the women of Mani many years ago and has lasted through time because of its tastiness. Ingredients are local and the recipe does not require much preparation time.
